Otto J. Schwarz, P.E., S.E.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Otto Schwarz first began his engineering career with Carpenter Wright Engineers in 1998 through 2002, then returned in 2004. His experience includes design and analysis for structures such as multi-story parking garages, post-tensioned roadways, medical research facilities, one story commercial facilities, multi-story concrete office buildings, and earth retaining structures. His experience also includes two years in materials engineering with Martin Marietta Energy Systems at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Mr. Schwarz’s previous areas of research have included material behavior of high-performance steel fiber reinforced concrete, flow and structure of granular materials, and mechanical behavior of fiber reinforced silicon carbide composites for high temperature applications. Currently, his particular area of interest lies in post-tensioned concrete structures.
